What is History day?
Every year, CCA parents and staff work together to create a hands-on learning experience for our students. History Day themes are chosen each year in alignment with the time period our lower school students are studying.

When is History day?
Set up is on Thursday, February 7, 2019, from 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
The event is on Friday, February 8, 2019, from 9 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. There are no electives. Parents stay and clean up. K-5 has supervised outside recess.
What is the theme this year?
For the 2018-2019 school year, the theme is Togas, Teepees, and Temples: a Trip through Ancient Times!
What can I expect?
Your student will experience different activities, performances, games, and food relating to the event’s theme.
What do I need to do?
Once you know the theme, we recommend parents begin working on their costumes. Parents, students, and staff all dress in the time period we are recreating.
Every family at CCA volunteers to help make History Day possible. The History Day Committee will assign parents rolls to help create booths where the experiences take place. This happens through your assigned House. Check with your House Leaders to see how you can help. At the end of the event, all families are expected to help tear down the booths and clean up the school.
