Teacher Tuesday: Michelle Edwards
CCA is proud of our unique hybrid model which combines traditional and home schooling. Our school would not be able to serve our families without amazing teachers. Mrs. Michelle Edwards is one of our new teachers at CCA this year and she has already brought smiles to the faces of our students and staff members.
Michelle and her husband Omar have been married for eight years and are from New York City. “I lived there my whole life until January of 2018 when we relocated.” After moving to Fort Myers, Michelle and Omar began the daunting task of trying to find a new school for their son, James who is now in 2nd grade. “We narrowed it down to a few schools and only had one day to schedule and visit all schools. Our criteria were the school be truly God-centered, that there would be a true love for education and that we would feel God’s peace. After that long day of visiting we both agreed we found that at CCA,” says, Michelle. We are so grateful that the Lord lead the Edwards family to CCA!
Michelle teaches Language Arts 3 which includes reading, spelling and IEW for our 3rd graders. She also teaches Saxon 7/6 which is our middle school math class. When she was in school, reading was one of Michelle’s favorite subjects and she is currently reading the book of Revelation right now.
When she isn’t reading, teaching or homeschooling James, Michelle will probably be watching Fixer Upper, collecting pens and journals or whipping up her famous pork shoulder!
Welcome Michelle, we are so glad you’re here!
